Calling all young women who want to join the next generation of business innovators!

2024 Application Period is now CLOSED

The Anchorage ATHENA Society, a program of the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce, offers camp scholarships to local young women residing in Anchorage, who have finished their freshman year of high school through 18 years of age, for an opportunity to learn leadership skills, to learn about innovation, start-ups, entrepreneurship and gain business expertise.

  • Meet successful entrepreneurs and business owner
  • Get hands-on experience
  • Apply your new skills and experience to the next steps in your life – in school, in business, in the world.

Anchorage ATHENA Society will award scholarships for camp BOLD@Olin at Washington University in Saint Louis, Missouri and Oregon Business Academy at Oregon State University in Corvalis, Oregon. Transportation is furnished, thanks to Alaska Airlines and the Anchorage ATHENA Society.
The scholarship recipients will also be provided with a cash stipend from Soroptimist International of Anchorage.

Eligible applicants are high school girls who:

  • Have finished their freshman year of high school through 18 years of age with an interest in business and entrepreneurship who live in the Anchorage area (Anchorage, Eagle River/Chugiak and Girdwood)
  • Attend high school in Anchorage: public, private, or homeschool.

The application period for 2024 scholarships is open until Friday March 29, 2024 at 5:00 PM.

Note: Application review, interview and selection process will determine which program the qualified applicant will be offered. Scholarships include admission to the camps, transportation, lodging, and a cash stipend.
